Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
An STF team on Wednesday nabbed four people selling sex stimulants among people from Para Police Station area and showed them fake authentication certificates.
The arrested were identified as Dharma Singh, Dhyan Singh and Veer Singh, the Moradabad trio and Lal Singh aka Gulab Singh of Sambhal.
The police recovered four mobile phones, a passbook, two fake certificates, 22 small bottles filled with Ayurvedic tablets and Rs 2,640 in cash.
Additional SP, STF, Vishal Vikram, said the team was tasked to crack a gang that was selling sex stimulants among gullible persons and sleuths set out to crack the case.
They were tipped off about a gang involved in the crime. "We set a trap and caught the miscreants. The miscreants owned up to their crime and revealed that they had obtained a certificate from the Cybercafé owner, to whom they had paid Rs 750. The miscreants confessed to selling fake herbal drugs to people," Singh said.
